The Society Of St. Vincent De Paul Is An International Organization Of Catholic Lay Men And Women Who Seek In A Spirit Of Justice And Charity To Help The Poor, The Needy And The Disadvantaged Through Practical Works Of Charity.

ANTHONY HOUSE
Provides transitional housing and other basic needs to homeless men. Weekend meetings held in house. Men must sign contract to follow rules of program. Must be referred through Society of Saint Vincent De Paul or other agency.

To be eligible:
Homeless men of Nassau or Suffolk County who have been sober for at least 3 weeks. Must sign contract to follow rules.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
