Class of Housing/Services: rovides housing assistance to family with children, older adults, chronically ill, homeless prevention,
The Partnership for the Homeless is fighting to end homelessness since 1983 by running a network of shelters through New York City. Currently is focusing on homeless prevention. We've placed a special focus on populations for whom homelessness is on the rise or assistance is underrepresented, developing models of practice that address each of their unique needs. -Families and Children — now comprising the largest segment of New York City's homeless population. -Older Adults — one of the fastest growing and most marginalized homeless constituencies in New York City. -Chronically Ill — especially homeless individuals coping with or at-risk of HIV/AIDS who are often disconnected from health care.

We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.
In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.
Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
