General Information:
Mountain View Personal Care Home (MVPCH) is a non-profit charity primarily serving the residents of DeKalb County, Georgia. Some features of Mountain View:     All private rooms; 35 beds     An Alzheimer and Dementia wing     Nurse on staff and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week     Respite care is available for up to 5 consecutive days     Diabetic management     Oxygen and insulin-dependent seniors are accepted     Three nutritious meals and 2 snacks daily     A smoke-free building     Laundry service     Daycare is available     Full housekeeping services     Entertainment     MARTA (bus and rail transit) is accessible     Transportation can be arranged     Smoking permitted in smoking areas     Governed by a community Board of Directors Mountain View Personal Care Home has a long history dating to just after the Civil War, when Georgia's DeKalb County officials created it to help serve those who couldn't afford to care for themselves.   Mountain View PCH is a member of Aging Services of Georgia, a statewide association of not-for-profit and other mission-driven organizations dedicated to providing quality housing and care. Mountain View provides a range of services for a monthly fee of $1,587 (as of 11/17/2011), but if a resident can show proof of income and other information, a hardship discount is available. Rental rates normally increase each year at least as much as the Social Security cost of living increase. Mountain View PCH is a NO SMOKING facility. Any smoking must be done outside the home. Motor driven wheel chairs or scooters are not permitted. Services we do not provide:     Mountain View is not a nursing home.     Mountain View does not provide medical care.     Mountain View does not provide transportation, though we can arrange transportation.
