40 bed emergency shelter at the Family Services Center at 417 NE Adams in Peoria provides temporary housing for women, children, and intact families. The housing specialist and case workers work together with families to help them break the cycle of dependency by finding affordable permanent housing. Nutrition, budgeting, and other self-help programs are offered. Residents with children are enrolled in our Pathway of Hope, a self-sufficiency program. Other services provided here include our emergency food pantry, rent assistance, referral services, job training opportunities, seasonal assistance and more.
