Class of Housing/Services: Halfway House, Detox Program, Substance Abuse Treatment

General Information:
Provides a halfway house, substance abuse treatment and detox program. Provides residential short term and long term treatment. Roque Center, Inc was founded as a nonprofit corporation in March 1972 by a group caring men and women whose lives had been touched in one form or another by the disease of alcoholism or addiction. Our mission has been and remains; “To help those who suffer from alcoholism and addiction to access affordable treatment that they would not otherwise be able to afford in traditional “for profit” private sector treatment programs.” We offer a continuum of residential, non-medical recovery services staffed 24 hours a day in a safe, drug and alcohol free, home-like setting. First we offer a 5 to 7 day social model Detox Program (medical detox referrals are available if necessary). Those who are a minimum of 72 hours clean and sober may be admitted to our 30-day Primary Recovery Program. This is a highly structured curriculum of education, group process and one on one counseling. While clients learn about the aspects and progression of the disease of addiction, emphasis is placed on relapse prevention by learning to recognize triggers to relapse, developing new coping skills and alternative behavior. Upon completion of the Primary Program, residents may remain in our Support Program (maximum 60 days). In this phase residents are allowed to return to work or begin job search. Required attendance to groups and classes are available evenings and weekends. Sliding scale fee is accepted for low income persons. Contact for details.
