General Information:
Services provided: Halfway House, Substance Abuse Treatment. Provides residential long term care and outpatient services. Wayside House provides a 28 bed residential treatment facility for women who are ages 18 and older.  The women come to us for help with alcohol and drug addiction. Some women may be addicted to several different substances or have co-occurring conditions, such as eating disorders. Accepts Adolescents, Persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders, Women. Payment Accepted: Self payment, Medicaid, Private health insurance Payment For Low Income Persons: Sliding fee scale (fee based on income). The mission of Wayside House is to treat and rehabilitate women who suffer from substance addictions and return them and their families to society as clean and productive members of the community. The core curriculum include two levels of residential treatment that embrace medical and mental illness care along side addiction recovery. Structured within the framework of the traditional 12-step model, recovery also includes life and family skills. Special efforts are made to assist in healthy reunification of mothers and children. Children are welcome to visit at Wayside House under the supervision of their mother.

Halfway Housing helps transition individuals and families from shelters or homelessness to permanent housing. Length of stay is usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.  Residents are often required to pay at least 30% of their income toward program fees.  Sometimes the money they pay in fees is returned to them when they leave. Any emergency or homeless shelter that allows their clients to stay more then 6 months is also classified under this category.
