Class of Housing/Services: Shelter and food for men

General Information:
Office hours: Mondays through Fridays 8am to 4pm. The Haven of Rest mission was founded in 1960 to provide shelter, food and clothing to homeless men in the Anderson, South Carolina area. That ministry has now grown to include three in-house ministry areas and eight thrift stores. The Haven of Rest ministries is a non-profit, tax exempt, non-denominational organization. The ministries are supported by monetary and other charitable contributions. The goal of the ministry is that every participant will desire to give his or her life to Christ and turn to Him for freedom from addictions and hope for the future. At the HAVEN of REST Rescue Mission, we provide meals for the homeless and an emergency shelter on a nightly basis. After entering the Rescue Mission, a man has 30 days to make a decision whether or not he is going to enter the Men's Training Center.  During this time he starts a bible study series, attends chapel services as well as local church services. He will also begin work at one of the ministry locations during the day.
