Class of Housing/Services: Mens Substance Abuse Recovery

General Information:
The Galilee Mission, Inc. was founded in 1984 and is a non-profit organization that provides a recovery program for adult males who are dependent on drugs and/or alcohol and are in need of residential or other social services. The Galilee House is a six-month residential program licensed by the State of Rhode Island to provide substance abuse treatment. It is a 12-bed residential home that provides six bedrooms, a kitchen/dining area, a lounge area with TV and VCR, two bathrooms and two office areas. The Mission provides dinners five nights a week. The client is responsible for preparing his own breakfast and lunch. All food is provided by the Mission. Each client is assigned to a counselor. There are also group meetings held in the house, which cover such topics as feelings, domestic violence and communication. Additionally the client must attend meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, or Narcotics Anonymous. There is a fee for service. Contac the office for current rates.
