Helping Couples Transition from Homelessness to Independent Living The mission of The Zaban Paradies Center is to assist couples transitioning from homelessness to resettlement and independence by providing shelter, basic necessities and counseling services. The Center is committed to providing a supportive and encouraging environment for residents as they work to become contributing members of our community. Open annually October 15-April 30 to serve homeless couples Open 6:30PM-7:00AM Hot evening meal and continental breakfast daily Private, furnished bedroom and linens for each couple Access to free laundry facilities and supplies Shared, community bathroom facilities Well-stocked clothing closet Social Services Ensure appropriate links to case management Financial management program Couples’ counseling sessions MARTA cards provided Guidance to housing options at close of season
Volunteer Thanks so much for your interest in volunteering at the Zaban Paradies Center. Our mission to help homeless couples transition to independent living is an important one – and volunteers like you make that mission a reality. Volunteer opportunities include: Donating to or organizing the clothes closet Teaching computer skills at the computer lab Organizing special events (for example, Valentine’s Day party, Superbowl party) Mentoring on financial literacy skills and life skills Participating in the health and wellness program Finding employment opportunities for residents Providing seminars on job readiness skills Cooking and/or serving evening meals Providing bagged lunches for the lunch program
