General Information:
AHFY provides sexually abusive males between the ages of 12 and 18 with a residential treatment program. The program includes: - Basic life skills - Recreation and leisure - 24-hour awake supervision - Milieu therapy - Group therapy (both Medicaid and non-Medicaid) - Behavior Modification - Treatment Planning - Individual Therapy (Medicaid) - Family Therapy (Medicaid) - Case Management - Administrative services - Ongoing risk assessment - Medical and health care services (through referral to outside medical resource) - Medication management - Food and nutrition - Substance abuse therapy - Crisis intervention - Staff secure transportation - Safety planning - Education (at least six hours per day) - Parent education group - Parent/guardian informed supervision group - Sex education - Survivors of sexual abuse group - Healthy relationships group - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (“EMDR”, as needed) - Room and board - Milieu therapy, mentoring (for Independent Living program clients) - Transitional plannin - Independent living skills - Job skills training as available and appropriate - Tai Chi For more information contact Alternative Homes for Youth or visit the Alternative Homes for Youth website.
