Class of Housing/Services: Families: emergency shelter services, inclusive of short -term residential and supportive services.

General Information:
Huston House is a family emergency shelter. Every one deserves home. Intake: Mondays through Fridays from 4pm to 8pm. The Huston House, LLC organization is a provider of emergency shelter services for families, inclusive of short-term residential and supportive services, as jointly managed and administered by The Nassau County Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) and the Nassau County Department of Social Services (DSS). Over the past 4 years, Huston House has successfully housed and transitioned over 75 men and women by assisting with job searches, securing of social security benefits, promoting life skills and helping to develop self-sufficiency.
