Class of Housing/Services: shelter and education for homeless pregnant and parenting young women

General Information:
Our mission is to shelter and educate homeless pregnant and parenting young women by providing comprehensive services empowering them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies. Mother's Refuge provides a home for homeless, pregnant and parenting young women (21 & under) and babies.  We provide access to medical care, individual/group counseling, food, clothing, transportation, mandatory participation in education and job training; classes in childbirth/parenting, child development, career building, self-esteem and life skills; as well as a safe, secure environment. We place high emphasis on continuing education through high school, GED, technical school or college. Residents can enter anytime during pregnancy and stay for up to one year after their baby is born. They enter our Aftercare Transitional Living program for continued support services while living independently.
