General Information:
Serenity Transitional Housing is designed for individuals recovering from addiction in need of a safe structured environment during the process. Here is some information about a new opportunity for residency in a sober house which I am offering: What to Expect: -Monitoring -For all residents to set goals -Attend group support meetings to help better transition process (NA, AA, Anger Management, Mental Health Counseling, etc) -Cooperate and contribute to the House to ensure healthy relating -Completing daily chores Potential Resident Requirements: -Must be employed or have steady income If resident has a disability and is receiving benefits, must volunteer in the community -Must be abstaining from alcohol and/or drugs -Must consent and comply with random urinalysis testing and searches -Must be willing to transition to a healthier life style Our vision is to transition our residents from homelessness, unhealthy environments, and helplessness to independent and successful living. Serenity House welcomes individuals without prior addictive behaviors, but are looking for a structured environment to rebuild and renew their lives as well. All Inclusive Rent Payments includes: Electricity Furniture Phone line Water Sewage Trash collection Wi-Fi Cable First month’s rent payment in advance is a REQUIREMENT. Helpful Definitions For Serenity Transitional Housing:
Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.

Services provided at transitional housing facilities varies from substance abuse treatment, to psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, etc. The assistance provided varies, but it is generally affordable and low cost housing. Read the descriptions of each of the transitional living locations for more detailed information. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
