General Housing To apply for Community Housing Network housing, please call the Community Housing Network Intake Department at 614-487-6700 CHN has developed and manages more than 1,200 apartments. CHN provides rent subsidies to an additional 400 residents renting from private landlords. CHN also provides all customary property management Community Housing Network invests in properties and people by providing safe, affordable rental housing for people with disabilities and other special needs related to homelessness. A critical part of CHN's mission is connecting tenants to services that support their mental health, recovery from addiction, and return to employment. CHN pursues innovative ways to help our residents enjoy life with a renewed spirit. We invite you to learn more about our work. The housing Community Housing Network provides is known as supportive housing. It is permanent affordable housing that provides linkages to social, health and employment services. This housing model has proven to be a successful environment for individuals who have been unable to maintain housing due to mental illness, substance addiction or chronic or episodic homelessness. Supportive housing offers disabled and homeless individuals a stable living environment and the opportunity to receive treatment, find work, maintain recovery and give back to the community. Success is measured by length of stay in housing, becoming connected to supportive services and treatment and by increased income through employment or approval for entitlements such as disability benefits.
