General Information:
We are a Faith Based Non-Profit 501 C(3) Organization whose goal is to help our community by providing housing and programs to assist persons that are Struggling or Homeless. Our transitional housing assistes All Veterans (men or women) / persons with disabilities (mental or physical) / Youth exiting from the Foster Care system. Our goal is to help our community by helping those who wish to be helped. We can not help everyone and must focus on those who truly are trying to make a change in their lives. We strive to assist our residents in transitioning from struggling or homeless to becoming more self sufficient. We utilize various agencies to assist our residents along the way to not duplicate efforts and allow us to provide optimal service. Our rooms come furnished, with central A/C, full kitchen, cable, water, electric, everything. Rooms rates are $450/mo for private rooms. (Rates as of Jan 2012. Call for updated rates).

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.

Services provided at transitional housing facilities varies from substance abuse treatment, to psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, etc. The assistance provided varies, but it is generally affordable and low cost housing. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
