Class of Housing/Services: Transitional housing.

General Information:
Provides housing and supportive services through case management for 6 - 24 months. Clients work on skills, gain emotional and financial stability, leading to independent living. Families can remain in the program for up to 24 months and will receive follow-up visits from the caseworker for one year after completing the program. The Salvation Army has four transitional units. Eligibility: Applicant must be able to provide proof of homelessness Must be legally established households where children reside for more than 50% of the year Must be at least 18 years of age At least one adult in the household must be working to enter the program A minimum of 25 hours per week of work and or school and or volunteerism is required Must provide at least one rental reference Applicant must be alcohol/drug free, and not be involved in any violent or abusive relationships Applicant's criminal history must be free of any offenses awaiting sentencing An applicant who is mentally ill must be connected with a support agency for additional treatment, medications, assessment, and case management Other requirements may apply. Fees: Monthly program participation fee is 30% of adjusted gross income. hours: Mon-Thu 9am-4pm (Closed for lunch 12 noon-1pm); Fri 10am-4pm (Closed for lunch 12 noon-1pm)
