Class of Housing/Services: Halfway House for men 18 years or older

General Information:
Hope House is a highly structured, supportive, controlled living residence for men with alcohol or related problems. Residents attend daily AA meetings, are expected to seek and hold employment, complete daily chores necessary to general operation and maintenance. Hope House provides anger management classes, personal counseling, and requires residents without a high school diploma or GED to attend tutoring classes and GED testing. Makes arrangements to local free health clinics and dentists that offer a large discount for residents. Provides necessary transportation within a seven mile radius for AA Meetings, group social functions, employment, court and health needs. Eligibility: Male, 18 years or older committing to 6 month transitional recovery and desires to recover from alcoholism and drug addictions. No record of criminal sexual conduct, able to function without psychotropic medications, be free from alcohol or illicit drugs for at least three days prior to admission, and be ambulatory. (Staff provides referral assistance for individuals that require barrier free facilities) Application process:   Telephone for interview with the director. Applicants must undergo a medical or other type of detoxification prior to admission. Fees: $22.50 per day, includes room, food, phone and transportation.
