Housing Authority. The EWHA owns and manages Park Hill, a low income, elderly housing complex located in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor CT. Park Hill is currently at 100% capacity, housing ninety-three tenants, of which six are non-elderly disabled. There is currently a waiting list of thirty-six applicants for housing. The probable waiting time for housing is one year or more. The Housing Authority currently owns approximately seven and one half acres of undeveloped farmland, connected to the existing complex. As moneys become available, we hope to develop this into more elderly or assisted living housing. In addition to its other powers, the EWHA, within its area of operation, undertakes and carries out studies and analyses of the housing needs and the meeting of such needs, including data with respect to population and family groups and the distribution thereof according to income groups, the amount and quality of available housing and its distribution according to rentals and sale prices, employment, wages and other factors affecting the local housing needs and the meeting of the same. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
