General Information:
The mission of Immokalee Housing & Family Services is to provide decent, safe and affordable rental housing with supportive social and educational services for farmworkers and other low-income families. HFS serves farm working and other very low income families, including over 150 children, that are at the lowest range of the income scale. Our typical family has an income of less than $16,000 a year, and has very little opportunity to find decent, safe and affordable rental housing. Many simply cannot qualify to purchase a house, even those provided by Habitat for Humanity. There never is enough affordable housing for those served by IHFS. Economic downturns bring affordable housing to a crisis stage as farm workers lose their jobs. IHFS will always be there to help.
