BCM provides emergency assistance to families and individuals   in crisis; placing   special emphasis on preventing homelessness through education and the provision of food, clothing and financial assistance with rent and utilities. BCM also provides long-term assistance for working parents and their children through The 70/30 Project, Transitional Housing Program and our Money Management course. The families that come to BCM for help represent the working   force of Atlanta. They  are people you see   and work with every day; school bus drivers, paralegals, janitors, teachers’ aides, medical technicians, waitresses and store clerks. Even though they work fulltime, an emergency such as an ailing child, a reduction in work hours, a home fire, or  a car accident, causes their tenuous situation to unravel quickly. The financial pressures of these emergencies often result in decisions that create even more difficult problems to overcome. Services: Brown Bag Food Programs Clothing Vouchers Electric Service Payment Assistance Food Pantries Formula/Baby Food Gas Service Payment Assistance Job Banks Mortgage Payment Assistance Rent Payment Assistance Thrift Shops Transitional Housing/Shelter for Homeless Families Water Service Payment Assistance Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource.
