Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing for families

General Information:
Two year transitional shelter, we provide a safe haven for families struggling with homelessness. Our three units can house up to four families. These units are furnished and have a shared full kitchen, living room, dining room and recreational area. ​ For residents living at SMH, staff and volunteers work with them to teach life skills and connect them with services that will help them with what they need to achieve success and self-sufficiency. Since 1992, SMH has helped more than 600 families regain their independence. ​ Areas served—Maryland and surrounding states. Eligibility determined on a case-by-case basis. Hours: Daily, 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.
