Against Domestic Violence, formerly Battered Women's Alternatives, was formed in 1977 by volunteers. At that time we were just a crisis hotline. We have widened our focus over the last twenty years to serve a diverse population of clients including women, children, and men. Our programs educate policy makers, legal and law enforcement officials, medical personnel, school faculty, the faith community, and individuals to shift relationship violence from a private matter to a public concern. We're changing the way California approaches domestic violence with new legislation, critical life-saving support services, and award winning prevention strategies. Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource. Contact Stand! Against Domestic Violence with the contact information we provided to get full details. Oftentimes you can apply for sliding scale fee payment or other options if you are low income. You will need to speak with them to see if you qualify.
