Union Rescue Mission is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the lives of the homeless and poor in Los Angeles by seeking to empower them to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient. Union Rescue Mission is one of the oldest and largest missions of its kind in the United States and the oldest in Los Angeles. Nutritious meals, hot showers, warm beds, clothing, shoes, haircuts, a safe place, and a listening ear are a few of the things URM offers men, women and children everyday. Our first priority is to meet basic needs, and then to assist in finding ways for one to get back on their feet. Most services are free of charge.
