Review the details below: Asian Pacific Women's Center is one of the first transitional housing facilities in the United States to focus on the needs of Asian and Pacific Islander domestic violence survivors by providing culturally sensitive and language appropriate services. This multicultural and multilingual center is building partnerships and working relationships with other Los Angeles community social service providers, job training and employment service providers, medical providers, and legal service providers. Our collective mission is to offer domestic violence survivors and their families a safe haven to acquire the necessary skills and personal strength for self-sufficiency. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
