General Information:
1. The Faith Inn Made possible through the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program, the Faith Inn is a shelter located in Warren, PA which consists of 3 efficiency apartments, 4 one bedroom apartments, and 2 two bedroom apartments, available to homeless individuals or families living in Warren or Forest County.     Who is eligible? Homeless individuals and/or families. Household income must be within 0-30% of the area median income.     What we do: We staff and manage the Faith Inn where we are able to provide temporary housing up to 30 days. Participants work with Housing Specialists during that time and receive coordinated services designed to help move clients from temporary to permanent housing.   2. Transitional Housing The Warren-Forest Counties Economic Opportunity Council provides transitional, supportive, and permanent housing options to individuals and families in our community that are currently homeless or facing homelessness. Our trained caseworkers work with several partners, coordinating and partnering with various human resource agencies and community resources, to help those in need. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.

Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.

Services provided at transitional housing facilities varies from substance abuse treatment, to psychological assistance, job training, domestic violence assistance, etc. The assistance provided varies, but it is generally affordable and low cost housing. Transitional housing facilities also may or may not assist with alcohol and/or drug substance abuse treatment.
