Class of Housing/Services: Transitional housing

General Information:
Pio Decimo Center helps families help themselves move from homelessness to housing stability through our Transitional Housing program. The program consists of two phases. During Phase One, which lasts 12 months, families pay monthly program fees and live in furnished apartments with utilities provided. Phase Two may last up to 24 additional months. During this time, families move into unfurnished apartments, are responsible for their own utilities, and work to build up their credit. Families are required to work and/or attend school, use Pio Decimo’s case management support services to achieve stabilization, complete Pio Decimo’s financial education coursework, establish a savings plan through a local financial institution, and participate in two community meetings per month. Successful families increase their income, enhance their employment, and establish savings. How to participate: Stop by or call Pio Decimo, 520-622-2801 x 7112 for information or to request a housing application. Families who meet minimum acceptance criteria will be contacted for interviews.
