General Information:
Mercy Haven provides both temporary and permanent housing and supportive services to those in need on Long Island.  Established in 1985, Mercy Haven, Inc. is a non sectarian, non profit corporation.   Housing is at the heart of Mercy Haven's mission.      Mental Health housing on Long Island is available through the "Single Point of Access" system known as SPA. Download an application on our website.     Housing for homeless individuals and families is available to those who have a documented case of homelessness with Suffolk County Department of Social Services (DSS). We work to create a community where diversity and inclusion are valued and individuals reach their full potential. We are committed to be a place where experience and creative solutions come together to open the door to housing and employment opportunities for those in need.   We welcome all inquiries to find out about what we do, to explore volunteer and partnership opportunities, and to support our work.  For those living with mental illness or living in poverty, an important part of maintaining permanent housing is the ability to manage daily living skills and to utilize community resources.   Mercy Haven offers several support programs to help our participants with these goals. In addition, Mercy Haven offers the community many resources to learn about mental illness, poverty and ways that all of us can help lessen stigma and promote inclusive communities.
