General Information:
Peekskill Shelter provides shelter for adult men and women. The shelter has the capacity to house up to 19 men and  women. Open 365 days a year 24 hours a day.   - 24 hour supervised shelter with onsite support services for homeless adults. This shelter, also known as Jan Peek House, is the only year round 24 hour shelter for homeless adults in Northern Westchester County.   - Since 2011, Jan Peek House also provides additional "Emergency Drop-In Services", beds for homeless men and women who are referred by Peekskill health providers, police officers and area houses of worship.  - CHHOP operates Turning Point, a HUD funded permanent supportive housing program of the highest need, chronically homeless individuals.    - Servies include: needs assessment, home visits, referrals, advocacy, life skills training, service coordination, relapse prevention and crisis intervention.   Fred's Pantry (Since 2010):   - CHHOP's "choice" food pantry provides nutritious groceries to families and individuals in crisis who are temporarily unable to afford basic food items.    - Over 400 individuals access the food pantry each month, ensuring that their families obtain nutritious food.    - Fred's Pantry is named for Commander Fred London, a Green Beret Vietnam War veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient. He was deeply committed to helping veterans.   New Start (Since 2018):   CHHOP operates a Rapid Rehousing Program to assist homeless survivors of domestic violence and homeless veterans attain self-sufficiency.  Services include housing assistance, supportive services, referrals, and linkage to vocational services.
