Class of Housing/Services: Emergency shelter for families, men's day shelter, rapid re-housing, homeless prevention.

General Information:
Emergency Shelter The shelter support program provides short-term (30 day) overnight shelter, food, and intensive case management services to homeless families and individuals living in Sussex County.  Local church communities provide overnight services. Shelter guests are transported to the agency Day Center Mondays through Fridays to access case management services, career and educational counseling as well as laundry and showers facilities.     Providing Shelter     Providing Meals     Individualized Supportive Services Men’s Day Program Intensive case management services, career and educational counseling, plus laundry and showers facilities for homeless men. Program hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 2, appointments are required.     Support and Advocacy Services     Screening and Referral Services     Housing and Employment Counseling     Life Skill Training     Goal Setting     Educational Supports     Guidance through the Transition to Housing Stability     Street Homeless Clients have access to Showers and Laundry Facility Rapid Re-housing Program Eligible participant families can receive financial assistance to support their household needs. The program utilizes a step-down system of financial support which helps to transition program participants to self-sufficiency, housing and financial stability. Clients may also be eligible for financial assistance with security deposits, utility deposits, utility payments and moving costs. All program participants are required to engage in case management services and life-skill seminars. Topics include: money management, financial repair and budgeting. Program provides short-term (up to 6 months) of financial assistance to stabilize families facing a short-term financial crisis. All program participants are required to engage in case management services and life-skill seminars. Topics include: money management, financial repair and budgeting.
