General Information:
Emergency Services: St. Francis House is the only full time emergency shelter between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach; serving St. Johns, Flagler, Clay, Putnam and Duval Counties. Check in is at 5:30 PM. We currently have dormitory facilities to accommodate 16 men, and 8 women. Using the HUD formula, St. Johns County currently needs over 100 emergency beds, with that number slated to grow as the county grows. St. Francis House currently has the capacity to house 5 families seeking emergency shelter. Our total bed capacity is now 38.   Soup Kitchen: St. Francis House serves thousands of hot meals each year. These free and nutritious meals are often the only meal of the day for the poor and homeless of the area. Daily meals are served seven days a week.   Food Pantry: St. Francis House provides food baskets to families and individuals On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. You must bring ID and social security numbers for yourself and family members that you need services for. Client Support Services: In 2013, St. Francis House provided 163,981 essential services to clients in need. St. Francis House provides a variety of client support services including referrals for housing, food, health care, education, career development, bill payment, birth certificate and I.D. procurement, transportation, and counseling.
