The Salvation Army: 719-636-3891 The R.J. Montgomery New Hope Center provides emergency shelter for men, women and families. The shelter houses The Children's Discovery Center which is a program for families with children living in the center. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The shelter has the capacity to house up to 210 people a night. There is a day room with a television and telephones for residents. Residents can stay for up to 2 weeks without case management and up to 90 days or more depending on their progress.
